The design of this textile wall hanging (114 x 92 cm) was based on the traditional patchwork pattern called ‘Trip Around the World’. It was constructed by layering many differently coloured translucent fabrics before being stitched and slashed. The colours were based on the reflections in the water around moored boats. A film was made, also titled ‘Watercolours’ which was footage of reflected colours in the water assembled into a moving patchwork pattern.
